Heritage Matters is your solution to a range of heritage issues.
I founded Heritage Matters in 2007, after spending a third of a century in local government, specialising in archaeology, museums and heritage protection. During that time I had been responsible for the archaeology of Gloucester (one of England’s top ten archaeological urban areas) from all angles, followed by heritage issues generally and then strategic cultural matters. I am professionally qualified as a museum curator and as an archaeologist, and I led work on major projects including a Heritage Lottery Fund bid, rewriting archaeology planning policies, and displaying and interpreting monuments in the city.
Today I offer a range of talks about historical matters, a live performance as a 17th-century knight who has lived through the English Civil War, and an interactive antiques quiz suitable for smaller groups.
